Can up.time and the database run on different Operating Systems?|
Each up.time component (data collector, user interface and database) can run on different physical servers with different operating systems.
The up.time components communicate via standard TCP regardless of which OS is being used. For example, the up.time monitoring station may be installed on a Linux platform while the database uses SQL Server running on a Windows platform. |
