Hey all

Just wondering if anyone monitors their BES(Blackberry) server using uptime, and what they monitor? I know you can monitor the Windows services etc, but just wondering if there are any other things that can be monitored (e.g Last sync time between devices etc)

Up.time unfortunately does not have any specific BES monitoring facilities built in, nor are there any BES specific plugins availabile.

Most of the same principals can be used to monitor Microsoft Exchange can be used to monitor BES. Information about some additional monitors for Exchange can be found in the up.time knowledge base here:

You can augment this by adding the BES services to the list of windows services you'd be monitoring. Also, you may want to consider monitoring any BES related [Event] Logs.

If you're aware of a way to tap the numbers you'd like from the WMI Perflib counters, you could also monitor them using a custom script.
