Any one knows any catch for the AIX errpt log monitoring as well as storing it some where so that uptime can generate a historical report kind of thing or any way to create an alert when ever some hardware (class type) entry occurs in the errpt.

Hi uqc,
At this point the errpt script included with the AIX release of the up.time agent is rather deprecated. For log monitoring we recommend using the following plug in monitor, which should handle the same task and is platform agnostic:
