Add a Nested Group
Views provide another level of flexibility to grouping of elements within up.time. By defining views you can group a single element into as many different groupings as you like. These groupings can be used for reporting or navigation within GlobalScan, or even used to share view-only permissions with administrator users. To create a view follow these steps:
Click My Enterprise
Click Add View
Set your View Settings
Enter a name and description for this View.
Select the elements that you would like to have in this view. Views are only single level so groups cannot be selected. In this example we have selected only the sql2000 and vxvm element.
Select at least one user to share the view with.
Click Save to save your group.
By sharing views with other users you can give views to an element that a user may not normally see while maintaining edit permissions on the element. As an example if a user had full control over the elements that were assigned to them via a system group, but had several other elements visibile only because they were a part of a shared view the user would only have read access to the view based elements.
