If you are using the 64-bit variant of Red Hat Enterprise Linux on a 64-bit architecture, ensure you have installed the following library and its dependency before installing the up.time agent:

  • glibc-2.12-1.7.el6.i686.rpm
  • nss-softokn-freebl-3.12.7-1.1.el6.i686.rpm

These files are required to ensure the up.time agent functions correctly.

Additionally, consider installing xinetd, which is no longer part of the default Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation in v6. Historically, xinetd has been the most efficient method for managing the up.time agent's life cycle.
