article AIX agent pstat not working on 64-bit OS versions

If you encounter this issue, simply put pstat64 in place of pstat within the /opt/SPYNuptm/bin or /opt/uptime-agent/bin directory with all of the same permissions and ownership as the previous file.

The error message returned during the perfparse.sh cpu routine will include a message about not being able to find/execute pstat64 with the kernel in 64-bit mode.

Example:

/opt/SPYNuptm/bin/pstat : failed. The kernel is running in 64-bit mode, but /usr/sbin/pstat64cannot be found
expr: syntax error
