article up.time not collecting network data from AIX systems

The netstat output command has changed with the release of AIX 6 and in certain scenarios you may find that up.time does not collect network information correctly.  If this issue is present, the netstat section of a poll agent will display the following error:

/opt/uptime-agent/bin//perfparse.sh[35]: -: 0403-053 Expression is not complete; more tokens expected.

This error invalidates the returned data and, as a result, no network IO stats are available for graphing.  The root cause of the issue is that perfparse.sh is generating output for each network interface with the netstat -I en0 command.  This returns data with a "-" in the field below ZoneID.  This new value is throwing off the awk commands, which are trying to read information for Ipkts, Ierrs, Opkts and Oerrs.

To resolve this issue, please download the attached perfparse.sh script and use it to replace the current perfparse.sh script (after first backing up the original file).  Note that you may also need to delete the /opt/uptime-agent/tmp/.uptm.* temp files to complete the resolution.
